The soft-spoken wildebeest appears in less parts of
the nation’s geography than most, not unlike the Muletide Perkins Trio.
Pure dabbling unfolds as three pleasantry-desiring song menders come
together to relinquish the week’s stress by throwing sound splatters on
the beautiful blank canvas of silence or barroom blather. The human
spirit has an inquisitive nature. What unfolds is time, captured in
recording and limitless in recital; drums, guitar, and bass the culprit. |

"Creeping outta the Rome backwoods with retarded
honk, twisted, mischievous predispositions and an icebox full of cold
ones, the Muletide Perkins Trio
are dumb as doo-doo and yet a lot weirder, funnier and cooler than you'd
ever imagine. With handles like Hardup McGizzle and Old Burnt Turn
Slick, the boys come off like bumpkin buffoons and their CD, Slop
Right Out The Trough, sounds like it was recorded start-to-finish on
a boombox during an increasingly intoxicated all-nighter, but there's a
bizarre, unrefined undercurrent to their creaky Crazy Horse
conflagrations, sorta like what might've happened if the Meat Puppets
had been North Georgia rednecks instead of Arizona acid-heads." |

lyrics with a down-home Southern sound despite featuring such topics as The Beastie Boys and
